Important: For your safety and to ensure our AI stays within appropriate boundaries, we log limited safety monitoring data:
- Crisis Detection Events: When the app detects potential crisis language, we log: user ID (anonymized), severity level, keywords detected (NOT full messages), timestamp, and session ID
- Therapeutic Request Attempts: When users attempt to use the app for therapy/diagnosis/medical advice, we log: user ID (anonymized), request type, keywords detected (NOT full messages), timestamp
- What We DO NOT Log: Full user messages, personally identifiable crisis details, or sensitive mental health information
- Purpose: Quality assurance, safety system improvement, compliance monitoring
- Retention: Safety logs retained for 1 year for compliance and quality assurance

- AI Chat History: 30 days active, 90 days archived (then auto-deleted)
- Crisis Logs: 1 year (safety/compliance requirement, anonymized, cannot be deleted by users)
- Therapeutic Request Logs: 1 year (quality assurance requirement, anonymized)
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active
- Analytics Data: 90 days for security monitoring
Why Different Retention Periods?
- Short retention for emotional data protects your privacy
- Safety logs require longer retention for compliance and quality assurance
- Trading data remains until you delete it (for your own analysis)
